A gentle reminder that plants talk too, we just have to learn how to listen.

I have to admit, these little pearls were once one of the trickiest to care for, until I discovered one simple tip… See those tiny “slits” on the pearls, also known as leaf windows? These translucent little skylights let light into the round leaves so the plant can photosynthesise.

💧 When the windows start to close or look faint, it’s a sign your plant is thirsty, they close up to take in less light and preserve moisture.

☀️ When they’re open and clear, it means your pearls are well-hydrated and happy.

If your pearls look dark and mushy, they’re overwatered; if they’re shrivelling, they’re thirsty. Skip the schedule, let your plant tell you what it needs. Learning to observe builds confidence and connection. This simple tip transformed how I care for mine, hope it helps you too! 💚
